REVIEW: You'll Be Thinking of Me by: Densie Webb

Author: Densie Webb
Publisher: Soul Mate Publishing
Release Date: January 12, 2015

Synopsis:

A chance encounter with a celebrity, an impromptu video, and a shiny new espresso machine. It all added up to a juicy tale for 24-year-old Rachael Allen to share with friends. But when her best friend posts the video online, bizarre threats, home break-ins, and deadly gifts from an obsessed fan follow close behind.  Mick Sullivan, the star in her video, offers to help and in the process, Rachael discovers that despite his reputation as a player of Olympian caliber, he’s down-to-earth—and emotionally damaged. He has secrets; some he’s shared only with his pseudo best friend. Others he's shared with no one. But there's one secret he’s hidden from himself, washed away by too many beers.  Despite wildly divergent life paths, their shared southern upbringing (and a passion for good music) creates a common thread that draws them together. As the threats escalate, and their relationship deepens, Rachael struggles to accept Mick’s past—and his present. And she is forced to confront her own obsessive love to ultimately decide if being with Mick Sullivan is worth the collateral damage.

YOU'LL BE THINKING OF ME is the story of Rachael's serendipitous encounter with a celebrity, her brush with obsessive love, and the bittersweet gift left behind by the very person fixated on destroying her life.

Review:

Rachael Allen is your typical 24 year old young woman who is still struggling to get on her feet for good.  She's just experienced a rough patch in her career and has ended up back at her parents house while trying to find a new job. While out shopping one day she runs into a celebrity named Mick Sullivan and asks a simple question, one that anyone would ask, can I take a picture with you. Mick sweetens the deal by taking a video instead of a picture and things go viral after her friend Jenna posts it online. The minuet things go viral the crazy starts and continues throughout the rest of the story. How much can she handle and how much is Rachael willing to take.

The way that I came across this book is pretty cool, and I just wanted to thank Google for the part that it played. I received an email a few days ago from the author, Densie Webb, asking if I had read and reviewed her book because Google pulled up a link to my review policy page when a search was made for "You'll Be Thinking of Me". I did a search myself and sure enough there it was on my computer screen. The author, Densie Webb, was nice enough to gift me with a copy of "You'll Be Thinking of Me". I can't help but think that I might not have come across this wonderful book had the mistaken Google search link not been there but I'm glad that it was because "You'll Be Thinking of Me" was an exceptional read.

I really enjoyed the way that Densie uses a dual POV and gets in the mind of a stalker. At first it had me a little confused but it didn't take long for me to figure it all out. You get the chance to see Rachael and the stalker's story and the things that are running through each of there minds.

Rachael Allen is a strong and independent character that has a good head on her shoulders. After experiencing a few hardships and loosing her job as a talent scout when the record company she worked for goes bankrupt she is constantly looking for a job and taking interviews. Even after she meets Mick she tries to keep her head clear and focus on what is important.

Mick Sullivan is a celebrity that has ''played'' the field quiet a bit since he hit the big times. Sex has become just another mundane thing for him and relationships mean absolutely nothing but Mick seems to be getting tired of the fast life. After he finds out what has been happening to Rachael because of the video he offers to help her any way possible.

I really liked the way that Mick and Rachael's relationship blossoms. It didn't feel rushed and wasn't an insta-romance. Together, they try to deal with the whole stalker issue the best that they can, and with that and their musical and southern backgrounds they go from friends into a relationship that has it's good times and it's rocky times. But after everything they go through together they wind up stronger than ever.

Brenda at first comes off as being just another normal girl that has overbearing family members but as the story progresses it become plainly clear that she has gone off the deep end and all her family is trying to do is get her the help that she so desperately needs.

Webb will have you sitting on the edge of your seat. "You'll Be Thinking of Me" is a thrilling ride from start to finish that will have you double checking to make sure that your windows and doors are all locked. I highly recommend giving "You'll Be Thinking of Me" a try especially if  you enjoy a thrilling mystery.
